How it works

Four steps. You can stop at any one of them.

01

You get in touch

Ring, email or fill in the form. Tell us about your business, a quick chat is plenty.

02

We build a mockup

We make the actual site, not a drawing of one. Usually a few days. You pay nothing.

03

You have a look

We send you a link. Show it to whoever you like. Tell us what to change, we'll change it.

04

You decide

Happy with it? It goes live for £200. Don't want it? Say so and we'll leave you alone. No charge.

Who we are

Two lads, one laptop each, and a lot of practice.

We're Reuben and Oscar, and we're both 14.

We got into building websites because we wanted one for something of our own and worked out it's not actually that hard once you know how.

go on then,
ask us

“Fourteen? What do they know?” Fair enough. So we don't ask you to take our word for anything: we build the site first and you look at it before you pay a penny. If it's rubbish, you've lost nothing but the two minutes it took to look.

And there are real advantages to going with us. No office, no overheads, no wage bill, which is the only reason we can charge £200 when an agency charges a couple of grand for the same thing. We're local, so you can actually talk to us. And we're building our reputation in this town, which means we'll try a lot harder than someone who's already got 300 clients.

We're not going to pretend we've been doing this for twenty years. We haven't. What we will do is build you something you're proud to show people, and look after it properly afterwards.

Talking to people & getting you found on Google

Based in Winscombe. Happy to come to you, or meet at a café, or just do it all by email. Whatever's easiest.

The honest bit

We're 14. Here's exactly how that works.

Most people ask us this, so we'd rather just answer it up front than have you wondering.

What we can't do

Sign contracts Legally, under-18s in the UK can't be held to a contract. So we don't sign one, you wouldn't want us to.
Take card payments Stripe and PayPal both require you to be 18. So we don't touch your money directly.
Be a registered company You have to be 16 to be a company director. We're not, yet.

What a parent does for us

Sends the invoice A proper invoice in an adult's name, so your accounts are clean.
Takes the payment By bank transfer or card into an adult's account. You're never paying a 14-year-old directly.
Is who you complain to If anything ever went wrong, there's an adult accountable for it. That protects you as much as us.
Happy to talk to you Before, during or after, if you'd rather deal with an adult, just say and we'll put you in touch.

So who actually does the work? We do. All of it. The design, the building, the changes you ask for, the bits on the phone. The adult is only there for the money and the paperwork, they're not sitting over our shoulder building pages. You're hiring us; there's just a grown-up handling the boring part.

Questions

The things people ask us.

What if I don't like what you make?

Then you don't buy it, and that's the end of it. You haven't paid anything and we won't keep pestering you. We'd rather build ten sites people love than one they feel stuck with.

Why is it so cheap?

Because we're 14 and we don't have an office, staff or advertising to pay for. An agency doing the same one-page site charges £1,500-£3,000 because of everything else they have to cover. We're building our portfolio, so we're doing it cheaper while we get started. The price won't stay this low forever.

Do I need to know anything about computers?

None at all. You tell us what your business does and what you want people to see. We do the rest. If you can send a text message, you can work with us.

What do I need to give you?

Photos of your business (phone photos are fine, genuinely), your prices, your opening hours, and a rough idea of what you want. If you haven't got photos we'll help you sort something out.

Who owns the website afterwards?

You do. It's yours. The £10 a month is optional, if you ever want to stop paying it, you keep the site and we'll hand everything over. We don't hold anyone hostage.

Can I talk to someone who's used you?

Soon, we've only just started, so there's nobody to ask yet. For now, look at the example sites on this page and judge those instead. We know that's not the same as a recommendation, and we're not going to invent one. Ask us again in a couple of months.

You're 14, can I actually pay you? Is that legal?

Yes, and yes. We do the work, but an adult handles the money side: they send the invoice and take the payment, because under-18s can't legally enter a contract or hold a Stripe/PayPal account in the UK. So you're never paying a 14-year-old directly, you're paying an adult who's responsible for it. It's the same setup plenty of young businesses use, and it means your accounts are clean. More on how it works →

Who's legally responsible if something goes wrong?

An adult, and we'd rather be upfront about that than pretend otherwise. Because we can't sign contracts, a parent acts as the responsible party, which is better for you, not worse. If a website ever caused you a problem, there's a named adult accountable for it, not two kids you can't do anything about.

Can my parents, or the person I work with, speak to your adult first?

Absolutely, and we'd expect it, especially if you're spending a few hundred pounds. Just ask and we'll put you in touch before anything starts. We're happy to talk to whoever needs to be happy about it.

Do your parents help with the actual website?

No. They handle invoices and payments and that's it. We build everything, the design, the pages, the changes, the emails. If you ring up with a question about your website, you'll be talking to us.
